Library Events July 13-18

It’s the very last week of Summer Reading 2009!  Can you believe it?  Seems like the past six weeks have absolutely FLOWN by.  We have had LOTS of fun here at the libraries, I sincerely hope you have had fun reading and visiting the library for various events.

Another quick reminder: The deadline to turn in any book reviews or Adult Bingo Cards is July 16 at 12noon in order to be entered into the Grand Prize Drawings.

Return the Teen Book Review Forms, Adult Bingo Cards and Adult Book Review Forms to either library by 12 noon on July 16 to make sure your name is entered.  We need to have some time to collect all the names from both libraries and make sure everything is correct.  We will hold the drawing during the Block Party on July 16 between 6-7:30pm, probably around 6:45pm.   If your name is drawn and you are not present, we will contact you on Friday to make arrangements with you to redeem your prize.

The last day to redeem prizes for Kids Book Logs, individual Teen Book Reviews, and completed adult Bingo Cards is July 17 at 5pm when the libraries close that day.

Also, this week has a couple of BIG Events!  On Tuesday July 14 at 10am we will have a performance of the play “The Diva’s Demise” by some of our teen patrons.  This is a mystery play where the audience will try to determine ‘whodunnit!’  If you can, please come by and support our teens as they have worked very hard on this endeavor this summer.

Our BIG summer reading finale will be Thursday, July 16 from 6-7:30pm at the Main Library’s Rotary Park.  Rotary Park is the park located beside the Main Library.  You will be able to access the party through the Main Library or by entering the gated fences on both Lafayette and College Streets.  We have a lot of fun things planned, including ice cream, live music provided by the band Ghost Town Blues, and fun activities for all!  You may redeem your prizes from reading logs and we will hold the Grand Prize Drawing around 6:45pm.  Please join us for this fun ending to a great summer.
