Carol organized the Sun Snippers Consumer Group to help others make smarter buyer decisions and use coupons to cut their grocery expenses. She has “couponed” for over thirty years. Carol posts updates every Wednesday on with grocery specials and is on The Evening Edition radio show every Friday on Good News 93.1 at 5 pm.

Carol has been the Executive Assistant at The Jackson Sun for 11 years. She handles administrative work for the offices of the President/Publisher and the Executive Editor, as well as the database for the Community Calendar on their web site at

She is a Certified Administrative Professional and past-president of the Jackson chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.

Carol has served on the board of Leadership Jackson Alumni Association and is the 2008 recipient of the Harbert Alexander Servant Leadership Award.  She serves in various laity positions at Northside United Methodist Church, has helped build five Habitat for Humanity homes and is a Master Gardener.
