On February 27 we are going to pretend we are living in the time of the Great Gold Rush and try our hand at panning for gold at the Main Library. This event is a part of the many activities going on as a part of the Big Read. (Read more about the Big Read and events here!)
That’s right, we are going to fill a baby pool with sand and gold flakes and try to pan them out just like they did during the Gold Rush! Children should be able to go home with at least one flake of gold as a memoir.
We invite parents to register their child’s spot for this fun event, which will take place at the Main Library on Saturday February 27 between 2pm and 4pm.
Space is limited, but spots are still available for this fun event. I am accepting reservations for ten children each half hour: 2pm, 2:30pm, 3pm, and 3:30pm. This event is for children ages 4 and up.
Please call Miss Liz at 731-425-8600 ext. 4 to reserve your child’s spot.
