Step, Inc. (Support and Training for Exceptional Parents) will be presenting a Basic Rights Workshop: A Parent’s Introduction to Special Education [IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act)] on Thursday July 29 from 5-8pm at the Jackson Madison County Main Library.
This workshop is designed for parents of children in special education or that might need special education. Come and gain a working knowledge of special education laws, including your role in the development of an appropriate program (IEP) and how to be an effective partner with the school team in the process.
Registration is REQUIRED for this FREE workshop and space is limited to 30 people.
