Friends of the Library May event:

On Thursday, May 5, at Noon at the Main Library, FOL’s guest will be Carol Reese. She titled her program: “Plants with Stories to Tell” and describes it this way: We walk past them every day, either ignoring them or saying “I hate that old plant!” Yet many of them played integral roles in our nation’s history, or were mainstays of Native American or pioneer life. Some have strange stories of interactions with their pollinators, bordering on the bizarre. Whether amazing or amusing, these plants can’t talk, but you can, and you will speak up for them after attending this session.
