As we go through November and December, we have lined up several programs for your holiday enjoyment. At the first of November, we had a session on “How to make Chicken and Dressing.” December will feature a session on “How to make Holiday Sweets.” Tom Shortess will be showing us how to make holiday ornaments on Saturday, November 15th, at 10:30 am. A community holiday party has been set for December 17th from 2:00-4:00 pm. We will have refreshments and be playing games. Please join us for this time of community togetherness. Be sure and check our calendar of events for a list of all programs being offered through the end of the year.
Also, please be sure and check out our new database which contains over 20 full-text magazines. These can be downloaded to your computer, laptop, smart phone, or tablet. Choices include the following: Allrecipes, Better Homes and Gardens, Country Gardens, ESPN The Magazine, Family Fun, Field & Stream, Fitness, Food Network Magazine, Glamour, House Beautiful, More, Mother Earth news, National Geographic, Newsweek, Prevention, Reader’s Digest, Runner’s World, Smithsonian Magazine,The Writer, WIRED, and Working Mother. Have you ever wanted to print a document or picture straight from your phone, tablet, or laptop? The library has now provided a way for you to do this. Whatever you wish to print can be uploaded to a website, sent to an email address, or printed through an app. We are so excited to be offering this service to our guests!
Self-service scanning is also available now at the library. Since there is no cost to the library, we are not charging our guests for this service.
